The best Lynch playing is when he's in a band situation and has to get to the point-all the classic Lynch solos are fairly short and very interesting.

That crazy unpredictable quality his playing has-the problem is when given space he just can't seem to let it go by without cramming a bunch of meaningless notes in. The cool thing about George at his best is I left after the forth or fifth track because there was just no melody happening at all: George was just throwing in the kitchen sink into every song and overplaying every chance he got. He finally got warmed up by the third instrumental and was sounding really good. He was struggling to dial in a sound which is pretty rough considering he was promoting his signature Randall head. He was pretty loud which forced him to have to take all the guitar out of the monitors. He had some problems early on with the backing tracks being in 440 tuning and his guitar being tuned a half step lower-he tuned up and soundchecked onstage.

Lynch was.well Lynch.his strong points were very strong-great vibrato and unconventional note choices.
